We at BBH London are looking for a few awesome Interactive Art Directors to join us in a quest to craft f*ing hot interactive experiences.
So I thought I’d use this space to see if I can reach out to some of the 24.013 (at the time of writing) of you who follow this tumblr to maybe help us find the right people.
This is a great opportunity for the right girl or guy to join a booming creative department that is full of confidence and oozing hunger to create the best work of everyone’s lives.
The people we are looking for are both artists and problem solvers. People who will care about grids, baselines, correct typography spacing, the best way to light a scene, which photographer to use or how to best animate or not animate that little last detail on the interface. But you should not lose sight of the bigger picture, no matter how painfully well crafted we want our digital things to be, they are there to solve a problem.
We want craftsmen who are able to solve problems beautifully.
Being an Interactive art director we expect you to do justice to the first word in your job title. You should be interested in all of the aspects that now contribute to the aesthetics surrounding great digital work. We expect you to understand how to best use canvas and JQuery, to know when we could use processing.js to create something great or maybe point out a way to integrate webGL seamlessly into an experience.
You will be the hero of all clickable, touchable, beautiful moving things. You will want to join BBH in our relentless pursuit of excellence and be confident to thrive in an environment where we are all challenging each other to make the work the best it can be.
But while we want people who are deep into their craft we expect you to be able to navigate different arenas of thought and be able to contribute to the process as a whole. To better understand what this is about, you can have quick read of this post.
If you believe this is you, send us your cargo, dribble, behance network page or any other thing that will help us get to know your work. (if you have a well kept tumblr, blog, pinterest or any other curated stream that will show some of what you like, that is also helpful)
